I moved from Sydney to Melbourne over 10 years ago and it costed $3,000 approx. then so now?
I friend of mine hired a self drive (small) truck which you only need a car license to drive 2 years ago and I think it costed less than $1500 including insurance and his fuel. Get a few quotes from removalist or truck rentals. Or do as my brother did just sell everything and re-established himself when he got to Melb.

With the US about to head into recession and the prime mortgage market just squeezing out home buyers the doggy do cleanup industry is probably not a high demand service.

Good concept,$30 bucks is a bit high , school kids going door to door on school holidays looking for a bob a job will do it for $10.

Give it a go but I dont know that this is the right time for this sort of enterprise

Can a doggie waste removal service be profitable?
I want to start a waste removal service very soon. I want to charge $30 a month for one dog, plus +$5 for each additional dog (weekly removal). Lets say each yard has one dog ($30) if I get 45 clients, thats $1350 a month. I also gotta take out expenses. I am a college student looking just to make some part time money. Are these numbers realistic? Any advice?

If you are looking at the British Virgin Islands you are familiar with it. While the other poster called it financial depressed, I disagree severely. The largest island Tortola only has 17,000 residents. And the house sizes are large.

But the way they maintain their quality of living is having strict immigration laws. Did I say strict, I mean strict. Your hair can get you barred from entry. Tourism and Banking, and a little of both mixed together is their predominant economy. And for this playground for the rich and famous...you have to offer something that advances their economy. Are you doctor? Are you an MBA in accounting or banking? Basically are you an essential worker than they may relax their extremely difficult immigration policies.

Look there is no harm in asking them,if they could take you in their van.Even offer the driver a bottle of wine or something,or a bit of extra money. But ask first and see what they say.
Usually those removelists are pretty helpful.

Make a flyer type thingie, so you just have to change the address on each one. Make it a very upbeat flyer, telling your customers how wonderful the change will be, how much better the service will be for them, and very positive information. Don't forget to include a small map so they can find you again. If you can, include a discount card, so they will be inclined to call you again.
